Der Kuechwald
Is the most spacious recreational park of Chemnitz and is located in the Schlossviertel (castle quarter).
This page will introduce the many recreational possibilities of the park.


On a 2,3 Kilometer circulacourse is  since 1954 
a park railway, which offers various organized events, for example: moonshine rides, park rail fest, fun days etc.
The park railway is favored during nice weather by natives as well as ther guests. 
One attraction is the historic Henschel-Steam-engine (build in 1948) whitch pulls the open wagons on the rail.
